Showtime and Hulu have partnered with Spotify Premium on Spotify’s Premium for Students plan, which offers students Spotify Premium, Hulu with limited commercials and Showtime for $4.99 monthly. The Premium for Students deal starts Aug. Music platform Spotify said the package has a combined monthly value of nearly $29. Spotify and Hulu have extended their popular $5-per-month student bundle to include acclaimed premium cable channel Showtime, offering those attending an accredited college or university one of.

College classes either have or about to start back up, and Spotify wants to make sure students everywhere are good and distracted. As such, they’ve just upgraded their Spotify Premium for Students plan with Showtime. Subscribers will now have access to thousands of hours of Showtime’s premium entertainment content alongside the Spotify and Hulu content already available in the plan. And because they understand that textbooks and beer are expensive, they’ve kept the subscription price at $4.99/month.

Even better, if you’re a new subscriber to Spotify Premium for Students you can get your first three months of the service for only $0.99/month.

If you’re subscribed to Hulu (ad-supported) plan without any premium network add-ons (e.g. HBO), and you pay Hulu directly and not through a third party (e.g. Roku or Amazon), your existing Hulu account can be included with your Spotify Premium Student subscription, now with Hulu and SHOWTIME - all for $4.99/month.

Indeed, students will get access to Hulu’s library of hit movies and current-run TV shows—including original programs such as The Handmaid’s Tale, The Looming Tower, Marvel’s Runaways and Castle Rock—as well as Showtime’s library of blockbuster movies, political shows and documentaries, sports content and more. And, of course, this is in addition to Spotify’s access to music and podcasts.

On Apple TV, subscribers can still go the respective Hulu and Showtime apps or visit hulu.com and showtime.com to access their subscription content. Spotify itself is not available on Apple TV, but students can access that content via their computer or mobile device.
